Ben Mandelson plays the piccolo...
...the Paul Hathway piccolo mandolin to be exact!

The marvelous musician, producer and all round Planet Earth musical journeyman that is Ben Mandelson called in to the London shop for a chat and to see what's new (although he might just have been sheltering from the rain!). We suggested that he might like to try one of the new 'piccolo mandolins' from the London-based luthier Paul Hathway, and he's pictured here playing the cedar topped one (SORLO13471). The other one we have has a spruce top (SORLO13469), and they both have solid mahogany sides and back. The instrument is tuned: CGDA, an octave above the tenor mandola.
We like Ben. He's cool!
