About Hobgoblin Music in Birmingham

The eighth branch of Hobgoblin Music opened in July 2003 in Birmingham. In May 2014 the shop was moved to bigger premises closer to the city centre. The building also contains a branch of the woodwind specialists Wind-World.

Hobgoblin Music in Birmingham stocks our full range of folk and acoustic musical instruments, spares, accessories and tutor materials, and specialises particularly in woodwind (folk and orchestral), accordions and melodeons.

Our shops are often described as an Aladdin's Cave of musical instruments. You will find a huge range of acoustic, folk, celtic and world musical instruments to try out and compare. Our staff are friendly and knowledgable, and will be happy to give you pressure-free advice.

The new location is on Priory Queensway which is just around the corner from The Law Courts and Steelhouse Lane and just across the road from SNOW HILL TRAIN STATION.

You can't drive past the shop as it's buses only but PARKING NEARBY IS SIMPLE! The best car park to use is the NCP multi storey in Dale End (postcode B4 7LN) which is also known as Albert St or High St.

The Car Park only costs £1 per hour, possibly the cheapest in the City and it's only a 4 minute walk from our new shop! 1st May is our opening date so please come and say hello!

We buy Concertinas!
All Hobgoblin shops have a big range of secondhand and handmade instruments. We do buy certain instruments outright, especially concertinas. Additionally we take trade-ins and can sell on a commission basis for you. If you have an instrument to sell, give us a call or pop into the shop!

Wind World Wind-World specialises in woodwind and brass. They stock a good range of student and beginner’s clarinets, saxophones, oboes, trumpets etc, There are qualified restorers working in-store at the Birmingham branch, and there's a workshop on the premises.
